We’ve never left a bad review before, but what happened with Ben Behnke today was unacceptable. We booked a load from California to Michigan and were promised it. Instead, he sent it to the wrong carrier, who accepted it. When we asked him to correct the mistake, he refused and claimed the other carrier was already on site. They admitted that they made the mistake by sending it to another carrier, but refused to fix it, and wasted our truck’s time — costing us money and showing zero accountability. On top of that, he threatened not to work with us again. When I mentioned leaving a review, his response was arrogant and unprofessional. Ben Behnke repeatedly used foul language on the phone, dropping the F-word multiple times — completely unacceptable behavior in a professional setting. This is not how a professional or honest company should operate. Shippers and customers — be warned.

One of the worst brokers I've ever worked with. Communication was extremely poor throughout the process. The driver arrived for the pickup, only to have the load canceled, and the Truck Ordered Not Used (TONU) fee was applied. It took two months of constant follow-up and back-and-forth emails to finally receive the $150 owed. To make matters worse, the broker initiated a wire transfer instead of the agreed-upon ACH transfer, and refused to acknowledge this, continually insisting it was an ACH transaction—even though the bank statement clearly showed otherwise. This resulted in a $15 fee charged by our bank. I strongly advise against doing business with Mark Behnke.

I cannot recommend working with this brokerage based on my experience. My company accepted a load that originated in Sturgis, Michigan. After loading, I scaled the truck and discovered the shipment could not be made compliant with applicable size and weight laws, despite adjusting the trailer tandems to their legal limit. I documented the weights with certified scale tickets and provided photographs and other supporting information. As the motor carrier, I am legally responsible for operating a compliant commercial vehicle. Rather than knowingly transport an overweight load, I returned it to the shipper. This decision resulted in lost revenue, additional mileage, and the cancellation of other planned loads. What was most disappointing was not the disagreement itself, but how it was handled. Even after providing objective documentation, I felt my concerns were dismissed instead of being addressed professionally. The dispute later escalated with negative reporting that I believe was unwarranted and inconsistent with the documented facts. Every business can encounter a disagreement. What matters is how it responds when presented with evidence. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the level of professionalism, communication, or fairness I expect from a transportation broker. I encourage other carriers to carefully document every communication, obtain certified scale tickets whenever weight is in question, and ensure they understand their legal obligations before accepting instructions that could place responsibility on the motor carrier.
