This place is scam likely ... please reconsider your choices when going to a training program yull make it thru training because the trainer gets 1k a week to say yu passed. They can make it as short or as long as they want. They do no driving they sit passager while yu do the longest loads the company offers. Fake team driving. The dispatchers are seat fillers at best. The run off a cheap load board with really tight margins. They also us AI to pick loads so most dont fit with your click time. There is no safety just 2 ppl on the phone who could careless if your actually safe driving. The camera isn't really a big deal wear polarized glasses it only tracks your eye movement. Most loads yull be sitting for long loading and unloading so much so that you clock hours get screwed up then they blame you for improper trip planning. The Africa to America pipeline is real all the forigiens there you have to ask yourself how did the end up in Grand island NE of all place I'll LET ICE handle that issue . The Son could care less how the company is doing. There's alot of favoritism. So you never know if your getting got miles is not. So inconsistent. The back hauls are 2 and 3 hours away mostly same day pick ups. You can't sit on most of the yards over nite so your forced to be 2 or 3 hours out from the drop. The only way to make money here is to milk the detention for every penny. The company can't afford to pay you longer than six months yull be let go so save your money and plan accordingly to that. Do Not pay into no insurance go tax exempt. That extra out your check you won't be able to use im 6 months once its kicked in. The shop won't actually fix anything and let's your ride on broken equipment. The director of operations has no idea what hes doing and always claims to be unaware and never in the office yull here that alot when they say they have a open door it's no one there. He's the fall guy that's a industry plant to destroy Grand island and sell it to a mega merger. The company is literally tanking. Checks come DIrect deposits Thursdays after 6 they were at 2 or 4 but now its like thsy don't have money to cover thier behind. Yull never be on the yard to actually use the one good washer and dryer they do have. If yu do end up there definitely go to all the safety meeting and the vr quarterly it pays $25. The company car has to be be shared with everyone so plan on doing all errands before yu yull into the yard. There is no PC they never give it out. clock hours will be used for all extras leave 5 hours . Your clock tho so you can get layover pay. Definitely make sure you plan extra early for home time because they try and make you work on your off day and will call yu during it. The trucks are brand new so that a plus but trailers old as dirt with issues to say the least. Don't let them tell yu to go into violation as they will use it against you. Use your fuel card in 3 differnt payments to rack up on showers. You once catch one past the east cost because its no travel stops. I advise you to do your research on the timing your joung this company as is meat is a very volatile market. All in all they dont take responsibility for anything they do but blame yu. You are just a number there's no family except the old timers milking the clock and miles honestly I'm just happy that I made it my 6 months accident free and am on to much better conditions and opportunities. 3 stars because I met 3 ppl there that are lifelong buddies other than that stick to your self mind your miles. Its trucking its never perfect but there's alot of cons here that personally I can't get jiggy with.

I Just started as a student driver, I have drove for other companies in the past, but it was many years ago, so I had to start over. This company has rolled out the red carpet for me as a new hire, very family oriented, they've treated me like family right from the start. Flew me in from Ohio, Hotel stay, with food voucher cards, $840 a week orientation pay, OTR starting pay .52 per mile plus achievable bonus pay, I could go on, To sum it up I've never ever felt more comfortable starting a new job.

Combating racism, sexism, and all that b.s. is just a garbage excuse employers use to make everyone think the same way, and you will not be a sheep! Once you figure out which of those two categories you're in, if you're still considering GIX, take this into consideration: - New drivers, regardless of experience level, sign a 90 day contract agreeing to work for the company for 3 months, or pay a pretty hefty debt to cover hiring costs. The flip side? They treat you GOOD: Rental car to a private motel room, $100 gift card to cover food expenses, order-in lunches from local restaurants during training, and $1,000 minimum gross pay during orientation week. - Hauls mostly along I-80 from Grand Island, NE to the northeast or the south. Officially covers the eastern 2/3 of the U.S., but if you live along I-80 you can get much more consistent home time without taking a hit to your wallet. You're likely to be back in Grand Island once a week or every other week, where you can do laundry, wash dishes, pick up mail, and wash/vacuum your truck. - Urine and hair testing at hire, then urine testing according to randomized DOT requirements thereafter. - Invested team environment. Everyone cares about your dignity, and truly appreciates and rewards a job well done. When there isn't a pandemic happening, I'm told the company owner cooks BBQ for all of us once a month. He's an amazing listener who will remember your name, and is remarkably invested in our happiness. He also can be found walking around the yard in his suit, picking up trash. Super down to earth leader. - $1,000 "no fault pay" means if you have hours to run, are able and willing to run, and for some reason just can't clear a $1,000 -- usually because of layover, shop, freight unavailability, etc -- you will get paid $1,000 gross that week. Count on this for your first week of orientation in Grand Island, NE. After your first couple weeks, count on never having to worry about this again, because you'll make upward of $1,100 a week consistently. - Company invests in a fresh DOT Physical and Occupational Therapy wellness exam upon hire, with clinics they've established good relationships with, to ensure that if your health declines while working here, you will be healed to the fullest extent until you're restored to your original at-hire ability level. Good company that'll give you great miles if you're willing to go past Ohio. Lots of east coast. Their truck and trailer maintenance is top notch. Never seen anything like it. They truly care about their equipment & even have an on site truck wash free for their drivers. I only left the company for a job with more home time.
