Continually getting dispatched on loads that would suddenly cancel the moment the driver arrives at shipper, is a common problem. Most drivers report they average 1100 to 1200 miles a week, consistently. When drivers request home time, the previous week's miles suddenly drop. The usual excuse: "we don't have the freight right now". Sub drivers end up doing short hops until a day or two before supposed to be home. Then suddenly that magic load appears to get them home. By the time they get home, that week's mileage is usually around 700 to 900 miles. And then once the driver returns from home time, for 2 to 3 weeks later, the miles hover around 1000 miles per week. This is a consistent experience that many drivers have with this POS company. And if a driver ends up in an area where there is a lot of freight, suddenly the excuse of "we need you to go to the shop for preventative maintenance/grease job" pops up. And that's even if it's only been 4000 miles since your last grease job. The side mirrors constantly worked themselves loose to the point of even falling off. In the middle of winter, they have the idle shut down activated at temperatures higher than 25°F. So the temperatures are 26°F and above, your truck cannot idle. In the winter of 2025/2026, mini trucks were forced to shut down for bad weather and icy conditions for almost a week. During this time temperatures dropped just low enough to be freezing, but not enough to trigger the idle option. Batteries would start to lose their charge because you could not idle the truck. So the bunk heaters would not work. When drivers would call road service and safety, they were denied hotels. Instead they were told to go inside the truck stop and remain until the weather improved. Some truckstops are not open 24 seven. But that did not matter. Season drivers who had been with CFI, a recently acquired company, were suddenly forced out or quit due to the bad work environment and attitudes from office staff. People were being pushed out of employment. And the ones that stayed were not rewarded for loyalty. They too were punished with poor working conditions and pay until they quit. When this particular driver resigned, there was a conference call on the phone in the office while I was signing the papers and turning in the keys. The subject of this conference call was about how they were losing so many people. The person giving the speech was reprimanding all the others listening because they kept bleeding drivers and other essential people. Can we say irony?

Plenty of room to park. Really great shop people for truck and trailer. Washer and dryer. Showers to.

Nicely updated drivers lounge with a laundry room. They have showers in restrooms. Also a nice smoking area. Lots of room for parking. The shop staff is very professional and get you out fast .

So far so good. You can’t expect perfection or you will be let down and become disgruntled. More to come as I progress
