Herman R Ewell INC

Seems like this company just has a bad rep for hiring unqualified drivers, all you see is bad review after bad review on their terrible drivers. I had a driver on I-294 in Illinois (07/30/26) at approximately 7:00am trying to force his way over getting onto the on ramp, there were cars beside me and I couldn’t actively do anything instead of the driver safely slowing down like a responsible driver and merge behind me he almost side swiped me, Trailer number was 610061 even after all of that driver got beside me cutting off a car in the process and taking pictures of my semi truck, yelling screaming and texting on his phone WHILE DRIVING, I honestly don’t know what he thinks the pictures will do when he’s showing clear signs of a negligent driver using his phone. I called the company and reported him but I doubt anything will get done since it shows they are willing to hire some of the most unprofessional drivers, I will probably follow this up with DOT and report the driver that way, my camera inside my truck has 360 view and will definitely pick up him being on his phone.
