Typical with most trucking companies, everything I was promised before being hired hasn't happened. I have never made $1,800 pre tax. More like $1,100. Take home $800 or $900. I'm out 3 weeks and have to fight and argue for home time. They think your home time starts as soon as you park your truck. So if you finish your day at 5pm. The day being almost over. They consider that a day off. Ridiculous. Dispatchers are total a**holes. Every week its an argument about the loads and how they're planned. The safety guy is a f**king joke. I don't even know why PC is an option when he never wants you to use it. Even in emergencies. Literally everyone at the company. Even the owners have never driven a truck. Yet they talk down to drivers and treat them like sh*t. They put me in a beat up volvo with dents and damage from accidents they never bothered to fix. Terrible company.

Good equipment, and pay if you don't mind working for a bunch if Richards. David the owner is a POS treats his employees both in office, and in trucks like trash. Has no business in the trucking industry. Alex the safety manager is okay as long as you know your HOS and how to run logs. I'd stay away.

Worked here a couple months. Their equipment can be great or real crappy depending on what you get after orientation. Trailers typically are good but some can be really old and raggedy. Dispatch (none of whom have ever driven a truck) will get you miles np but have no idea how long it takes to get from point A to B under mountainous terrain pulling their 40k+ trailers. 90% of loads are 40k and up. Safety manager Alex is a college grad who has never been in a truck nor even been a dispatcher but he will tell you how the logbooks are perfect and you're always at fault. He will convince you that traffic and weather will never make you late but it's your planning that is flawed. Basically the biggest pile of crap of a manager you will ever meet. In fact he is the only main reason I left the company as he is completely unwilling to help when you are running out of hours due to weather or traffic and could care less if you have to pull over at an on ramp as long as you don't go into PC. And if you ever do he will take away the privelege to be able to use PC. Owners are great guys but that only goes so far when the people you deal with on a day to day basis are either rookies like majority of the dispatchers or have no clue of the industry like their safety clown. They are growing so hopefully down the ways they remedy this situation by paying more and hiring worthy office staff. Hometime yea they will count the hours you are home even if you are out weeks at a time. And if they ever promise you to be home 34 hr reset… never happening. I once was forced to take a 34 just 1 hour away from home before my hometime because their safety clown refused to give me traffic time that I was stuck in. That for me was the last straw. Not worth the animosity. If you run good and don't mind free 34 hr resets every 6 days then yes you could make decent paychecks around 1800-2000 pre tax but then you could fall back following week and make half that. Hit or miss. They do pay detention and short stop pay tho it isn't often you do either. 30% drop and hooks but many of the live loads and unloads usually happen fairly quickly.

You won't be home every 34 that's a fantasy planners do not know what traffic is you will fight for every seconds of home time cause dispatch just doesn't care and as soon as your out they will keep you as far from your house as they can

I love working for Jacko. I am home whenever I want to be home. The loads could be run tighter but I am ok with the money I make here. I have made more at other companies but was not home when I needed to be. Overall, I have not regrets coming to Jacko.

A very good place to work, great people to work with, very family oriented company. With minor improvements this company would be perfect.
