    Landstar in way rep. lamir will ripp you off they owed me 28 hours detention and instead of paying me the hourly wage the gave me layover pay which is nowhere close to the detention amount. Do not deal with lamir. P.S I still have not received my pay for the load its been over 60 days

    Operating w LS for 1 yr as husband/wife non-team. Run when we want, where we want hauling lightweight flatbed chosen from LS loadboard. Always from 20,000 to 45,000 active loads on board which is open to anyone but without details for non LS drivers. Details for LS drivers include mapping feature, linehaul $, commodity, etc.. Most agents are very pleasant, helpful and easy to work with. Large support system for ALL aspects: oversize permitting, training, settlements, border crossing, safety, etc.. Pretty tough regarding compliance and safety but that keeps high paying shippers w LS. Great discounts on fuel, tires, service... Landstar takes a percentage of the LH after FS and driver labor items like tarping or loading, but it's worth it given all the support they provide. They do NOT however, run your business...thats your responsibility ;)

    LS, is just a sorry money grabbing company.. agent can't get there own loads everything rebroker loads. too many cheap load. waste of time stay far away!!
