Thermo King - Chicago

Bypass this repair shop and just buy parts there if you care about being charged $400 for nothing !!! I came to them and said that I needed to replace the water pump on the Thermo King APU and asked for estimates, gave them the keys and left the truck ! They emailed me estimates for $3,000 including everything and anything I didn't ask for or need at all ! When I told them that I only wanted to replace the water pump and to give me estimates just for that, they sent me the following estimate for $1700, even though the pump costs only $300 and is changed in a maximum of two hours ! Already angry that they are trying to make a fool of me, I say that I am coming to pick up my truck and that I will not do anything with them, and when I arrived they asked me for $420 to pay for the estimate ! When i asked them what i was paying $420, for they said apu inspection ! Since it was clear that they were making a fool of me, I asked them why they did the inspection if I told them that the problem was in the water pump and that I wanted to replace only the water pump, they said that this is their procedure, which means that you can come and request only the replacement of the filter, they will do an inspection for two hours and charge $420 for nothing if you don't collect money from you as much as they imagined by servicing everything they want to take as much money as possible. I was blackmailed to get the keys to my truck back, I had to pay them $420 instead of the $200 they charge for estimates if you don't want a repair but just an inspection, which I didn't even need because I already knew and told them what the problem was! Save your money and for repairs you better go to any other Thermo King, because there is no such thing as what the customer wants, only what they want to charge !!!
