    TruckersReport Review

During my time with Tribe, I witnessed many drivers have their lives financially destroyed through the lease-operator program. Sadly, I became one of them. The truck payments were overwhelming, and many drivers simply could not keep up. The warning signs were everywhere. The good dispatchers never seemed to last long there. In my time with the company, the business was heavily influenced by the boyfriend of a Native American woman involved in operations, along with another individual who claimed he had worked for JBS, the Brazilian Batista global meat giant. To put it simply, he was a real piece of work. From the very beginning, I noticed there were clearly preferred groups within the company the people who constantly flattered management were treated differently. One small mistake or disagreement was enough to land someone on the company's blacklist. After I ended up on that list, I lost everything: the truck, my income, and nearly all stability. I struggled just to make it back to Georgia to recover my personal vehicle and return home. What shocked me most was that about a year later, they actually called me back asking if I wanted to work for them again. I told the recruiter: "After everything your company did to me the injustice, the accusations, and the damage to my life how dare you even call me again, let alone keep my number?" That experience taught me a hard lesson about lease programs and the reality behind promises made to drivers specifically companies like Tribe. Today I drive a 50ton rotator rescuing drivers like I needed to be rescued when a tornado knocked out of the road with one of Cherokee national leasing nightmare truck.

The only reason I gave one star is because there's no option to give a negative score. Tribe/Cherokee is the absolute Worst company for a driver! There's not one employee in the business part that has an ounce of knowledge of trucking, zero common sense, which leads me to wonder how the company stays in business. I figured out the hard way how they stay in business! They steal from the drivers!! Many ways they steal money from drivers! To the point that there are weeks the driver doesn't get a paycheck. The POS say the money is kept for this and that (bull****). There's supposedly a warranty account on trucks under 400,00 mi, yet a truck over the cut off mileage Still gets money withheld for a "warranty" that's non-existent. The "planners" which are dumber than a bag of rocks don't give a rate-com sheet, they send a text saying what the load is paying and the driver has to take that in trust and roll on. I can't begin to tell all the ways that company rips drivers off! I can only hope that someone will eventually take the company on and prove all the theft from drivers, the bad treatment of drivers, and so much more, and take the company down!

They suck all of the bad things the are saying are true. If you live in NC near Newton, NC job openings home daily and make more a week than you did for 2 weeks or all month. Tribe will lie and their trucks are nasty and tear down.

Avoid!! Believe the reviews ! The managers and dispatch are dysfunctional bullys . They have no idea what.they are doing, but will hammer you for what you do or dont do. NEVER got me home ontime, ALWAYS late . Ignored mechanics request to gave truck fixed, was more worried about the loads than the drivers safety. This is a VERY Toxic environment for drivers ! In house staff doesnt care about you the driver .

Do not work here ! Bullies and unprepared/undertrained in house managers. Very petty about their job, no accountability. YOU clean the truck, YOU take the heat for poor planners, YOU have to travel to get your truck after being out in a bunk room style orientation where they feed you pizza and chicken Fil a with gross unwashed fingers reaching in to the food you're suppose to eat. Can't get you home on time. It's a snake pit... dont get bit .

Signed up for a team lease position. Got approved on Friday, all is good. Got a call on Saturday stating that everyone is required to recover trucks throughout the country. (funny how they left this out on Friday, waited until Saturday) When we get there was told that you won't be paid for the 1st three weeks of working. They don't hire someone to clean the trucks once you recover, you have to do that yourself.

I work from this company for 3 months and I can tell you all the bad reviews you read are true especially the ones about pay I can tell you now they will pay you for one trip even though you did three trips and also they were just to you for two three months and even though you were on time either early by 30 minutes to couple of days picking up and delivering they will Mark you as being late everyday so they can terminate your contract so just like with any other company that has the least purchase program it is a scam I would avoid this company and look elsewhere

Avoid this company, they will send drivers to recovery abandoned trucks by former personnel and if the truck is filthy - [ read bodily fluids ie human waste] and no keys so truck cannot be recovered they will leave you stranded wherever you are.
