Worked here a couple years ago, absolutely terrible experience. They lie about the "average" you make each week, you end up sitting at home more than you do working unless your one of their favorites. Don't waste your time with this company unless you wanna sit at home and not make money.

I've been with Venezia for almost 5 years now and will never look at another company. Back in 2020 I had a situation in my personal life that changed my trucking career forever. They were the only company that worked with me being a single full time parent. During the years of employment I felt like family to them. You have no tanker experience of course your gonna start small but you gotta be willing to be patient and learn there ways of doing things. The money will come and the more you know the more money you make. As long as you're doing your job and do things safely then you will never have an issue making money here. The benefits are good too your time here will always be valued.

Training did not prepare properly, same delivery place all through training did not prepare for different hook-ups and applications. Maintenance seemed a bother when reporting issues. For example: I received three brand new tanker & lids were not checked for tightness, this dropping pressure spewing out flour & g taking extended delivery time. Got called in for reporting.

Per my experience, the company has a strict, army-like environment, with very little respect for a driver. The equipment is older, home frequency varies depending on the account. Despite the initial promises, they offer a low, cents-per-mile, pay compared to the average pay per LPG industry that pays hourly wages. Beware of the driver trainer.

An extreme upgrade from my previous job. I am able to get ahold of dispatch 24/7, and they have always had an answer for my questions. I took a hit on my first week because the plant I deliver to cancelled all loads, but that's part of trucking I guess. Second week I killed it. Ran nearly 3,200 miles, I was still home 2 nights during the week and I wasn't even worn out. I was issued an older truck but it runs very well and was nearly spotless when I got into it. I had one problem so far where the check engine light came on, and even though the mechanics were busy they pulled it right in and had me rolling in 45 mins. I have been given benefits here that I've never even heard of companies doing. They honored my prior tanker experience, which started me out on a higher pay grade, and also got me an extra week of vacation time after a year. They're basically treating me like I've already worked there for a year and a half. Also, they pay me to take the truck home. Mind you, I live over 300 miles from the terminal. Everyone at Venezia has treated me very well so far. These are some of the nicest people I have worked for. I hope to have a long career with this company.

Pay is good. I run my butt off and do so legally. I stay out 3 weeks at a time and then take 4-5 days off. Some guys are home most weekends. The health insurance is really good (far and away better than any that I have had in the past). I've been here for almost 4 years and have only applied for one other company in that time (it was a local opportunity). I really can't complain about how I am treated for the most part. Sure there are times I want to beat my head on a wall but what company isn't going to give you that from time to time? They have their "quirks" as a company. Some things take a little getting used to, like the HHG miles that they figure their routes on. Personally, I don't mind giving up 10% of my miles because I feel as though that I make most of it up through activity pay (loading/unloading, layover, hourly pay for getting tank flushed, etc). The pay cycle is 2 weeks out so what you do this week will be paid in two weeks. (I study my settlement sheets very carefully. I have never had a case of not getting paid for something I did). Maintenance program isn't the greatest but they have been working pretty hard to get better with it. The things that drive me the craziest are their lack of communication and the fact that they are very reactive instead of proactive. From my experience and observations from the inside, you get out if it what you put into it. If you're willing to work hard, have integrity and self accountability, as well as a good attitude, you can do really well here. If you're the type who cries and complains about everything or never does anything wrong yourself...this isn't the place for you. Hard work recognizes and respects hard work. Business is growing, so if you're looking I highly recommend that you consider Venezia.
