Oculus Freight ("Oculus Freight," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Oculus Reviews platform (the "Platform") and related websites and services (collectively, the "Services"). Oculus Reviews is a two-sided professional reputation and hiring network for the trucking industry where drivers can review companies and companies can review drivers, with optional verification and trust features.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Services.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Services.

1) Who Controls Your Information

2) Information We Collect

A. Information you provide

• Account and profile information: Name, email, phone number, password (stored in encrypted/hashed form where applicable)
• Driver profile details: (e.g., city/state, experience, equipment preferences)
• Company profile details: (e.g., company name, contact information, MC/DOT number, location)
• Reviews, job activity, and communications: Review text, ratings, and structured fields you submit (e.g., relationship type, dates if provided). Job posts, applications, "request a call/share contact" submissions (if enabled). Messages, support requests, dispute submissions, and any attachments you upload (if enabled).
• Verification and trust features (if enabled): To increase trust and reduce fraud, we may collect verification information such as identity and employment signals. We aim to minimize collection of sensitive data and may store certain identifiers in masked, tokenized, or hashed form.
• Payment information (if enabled): If you purchase paid features, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing and transaction information (e.g., payment status, amount, timestamps, and identifiers). We do not intentionally store full card numbers.

B. Information collected automatically

• Device and browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location (city/state)
• Log data (pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, referring URLs)
• Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, security, and preferences

C. Information from third parties

• Payment confirmation and limited transaction metadata from Stripe
• Public or reference data used to identify companies (e.g., MC/DOT matching), where permitted

3) How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide and operate the Services (accounts, profiles, reviews, search, and access controls)
• Facilitate job-related workflows (job posts, applications, contact sharing, notifications)
• Enable trust and safety (verification, fraud prevention, abuse detection, enforcement)
• Process purchases and manage billing (through Stripe)
• Communicate with you (service notices, security alerts, support)
• Improve and develop the Services (analytics, debugging, feature testing)
• Comply with law and respond to lawful requests
• Protect rights, property, and safety of users and the Platform

4) Reviews, Profiles, and Visibility

A. Company reviews are public

Reviews about companies may be publicly accessible (including to visitors who are not logged in). This means your review content and any information you include in it may be visible publicly.

B. Driver reviews have restricted visibility

Reviews about drivers are intended to be visible only to company users (for example, authenticated companies on the Platform), and are not intended to be publicly displayed.

C. Reviewer identity and "anonymous" posting (if enabled)

If the Platform offers "anonymous" reviews, it generally means your name is not displayed to other users or the public. We may still retain internal records linking reviews to accounts for moderation, integrity, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

D. Disputes and moderation

If content is flagged or disputed, we may review it and related account activity, and may limit visibility while investigating. We retain moderation history and dispute records for audit and safety.

5) Consent-Based Sharing and Access Controls

Some features may allow sharing additional information (for example, a driver sharing contact information with a company). When enabled, access to such information is controlled by Platform permissions and logged actions (e.g., a driver's explicit submission, consent checkbox, or application flow).

We maintain audit logs to help prevent unauthorized access and misuse.

6) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense.

We may share information:

A. With other users as part of the Services

• Company reviews: may be visible publicly (Section 4A)
• Driver reviews: visible to authenticated company users (Section 4B)
• Contact sharing and job actions: shared with the relevant counterparty when you initiate the action (Section 5)

B. With service providers

We use vendors that help us run the Services. For payments, we use Stripe. These providers are permitted to process information only to perform services for us.

C. For legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
• Enforce our terms and policies
• Investigate, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues
• Protect the rights, property, and safety of Oculus Freight, our users, or the public

D. Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7) Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Services
• Maintain audit trails (e.g., access logs, billing records, fraud signals, moderation history)
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

When we no longer need information, we take steps to delete it or de-identify it unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity under your account.

9) Your Choices and Rights

You may be able to:

• Access and update certain profile information through your account settings
• Request deletion of your account by contacting support@oculusfreight.com

Important: Even after deletion requests, we may retain certain information as required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, billing/accounting, and audit logs.

10) Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Authenticate sessions and keep you logged in
• Secure the Services and prevent abuse
• Store preferences

You can control cookies in your browser settings; some features may not function properly without certain cookies.

11) SMS / Text Message Communications

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through our platform, you consent to receive SMS (text message) communications from Oculus Reviews related to your account, job alerts, and platform updates.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies based on your activity and preferences. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact support@oculusreviews.com.

SMS messaging is available on most major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

12) Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 16 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support@oculusfreight.com.

13) International Users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.

14) Employment / Screening Use Notice (FCRA)

Oculus Reviews is intended as a reputation, review, and trust network. Oculus Freight is not a consumer reporting agency, and the Services are not intended to provide "consumer reports" under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA").

You agree not to use the Services as the sole basis for decisions that require FCRA-compliant consumer reporting (including certain employment eligibility decisions) and you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable law.

15) Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice via the Services or by email.
