    If you like assignments with evening appointments forcing you to drive over the clock to find parking, if you like live loads and live unloads, if you like sitting and waiting, if you like working long hours for low pay, if you like slow weak trucks, if you like being watched and micro managed drive for this company. If you have expetience do not work here. I do not know what the trucking industry was like a few years ago but companies like this are running the trucking industry into the ground. There is no more work life balance. These companies want you on the road 24/7. Even some of the so-called good companies seem like they want robots driving. If you are single and have no responsibilites you might like trucking. If you want to work and still be able to enjoy your life single or not, try to stay away from trucking.

    The company trucks are Freightliner Cascadias. They are slow and weak. $0.53 a mile is an insult to experienced drivers. Come on people. You can do better. The communication between the offices to drivers is little to zero sometimes resulting in missed appointments, lots of sitting and waiting, errors on assignments etc. The communication is so terrible it feels like you got ghosted on a date and stood up on a date. It's that bad. Only work here if you really need extra money to make ends meet. Other than that EPES is probably the worst company I ever worked for because of the bad communication.

    Terrible pay, slow weak trucks that barley handle heavy loads and barley keep up with traffic, terrible communication from office personnel to drivers, driver facing cameras. This is the worst company I ever drove for. The bad communication feels like you got ghosted and stood up on a bad date. ONLY DRIVE FOR EPES IF YOU NEED THE MONEY TO MAKE ENDS MEET.

    Became a sub par company, not the company it was 5 years. Trailers are overall crap and beat up. Company doesn't give competitive pay, health and 401k has gone down in overall in the past 5-8 years

    This place is no good. Low pay & low miles. If you have a family to take care of and bills to pay this is not the company to work for. You shouldn't have to run northeast to make a living. Also, the don't pay for layovers that they cause. Who wants to sleep in a truck all week for 800 after taxes and paying your medical insurance. They lie to you. Say you can make up to 1800 a week. That's BS. Not for experienced driver's. 53 cents a mile is poverty or for new driver's. Turn over rate is high.

    A bait and switch. Loads are 120-170 miles, dispatchers complain that its hard to find loads. Making you wonder why they hire in the first place if there arent enoughf loads/miles. They have the resources to get the miles, just not the customers.

    I Work for EPES 2 years and they have been a good employer to the work for. I've done Regional, Spotter, and Shuttle driver and now I'm on An account that I love.. the employees are like family. I have my own truck and if I need anything done I have No problem getting it in to the shop and getting it fix. So I don't see myself going anywhere no time soon.
