    I worked at Great Plains Trans for almost 3 years. Started 3 months after Mike Holland took over from his dad. At first it was great. But within my first 4 months there, Mike started changing things. Repeatedly he keep changing the bonus system And it was always unattainable to reach. Constantly Mike would give us petals, via recordings, promising us the moon, which NEVER came. He gas lighted, i.e. lied to us all. I was laid off in May, left stranded in Fargo, N. Dakota, along with,several other drivers. My wife drove up to get me, 1500 miles and I was told that I would be reimbursed for the gas, and that too was a lie. Great Plainszwas handed to Mike Holland by his Daddy. It only took 3 years for him to run. The company into the ground and lay off drivers, 80 of us. And the office staff also got screwed. Some of the office people had 10, 15 or more years there Due to Mike Hollands inability and compatency to manage the company, its going down the drain. Has NOTHING to do with the economy, but mismanagement is to blame. Mike Holland is a liar, and a punk! He alone ruined a viable and profitable company. I am certain that Great Plains Transport, out of Fargo, N. Dakota is breathing its lasts breaths, before it dies and closes down completely.

    It was ####. Half the fleet quit when I worked here. The next wave of dispatchers they hired made my life a living nightmare. I'm glad I quit.

    Ever since I left there terminal I've been breathing nothing but fumes. Like wired burning very strong at times. Not only that the place bumps of pesticides to kill dogs flees and didn't hire a professional detailer to wash away the chemicals from the pesticides. The pay is a joke. My first pay 560 dollar check. This company is facing money problems and now they specialize in ripping us off. Disgusting company to work for don't waste your time coming to work for Great Plains Transport. They will sale you out for money

    More of a regional company. Not a 48 state otr company. You won't see the west. Average miles on loads are 1,000 miles or less. Mostly broker loads. Appointments are not realistic. Get unload early am, then sit until afternoon to be loaded. Alot of late night to early morning deliveries at grocery wharehouses that are a cluster to maneuver in. But, you will usually sit most of the day after empty.
