Schmitty & Sons Transit INC

Schmitty and Sons is contracted by school district 191 to provide school buses for all of the public schools in the district. They’re perpetually late, resulting in a lot of missed work for me (a parent) as I’ve had to miss meetings to call the school to try to find their bus, and missed my own bus because I was waiting for my kids to be picked up first. Today they were twenty minutes late. Sometimes they’re forty-five minutes late or more. Sometimes they have good weeks; sometimes they’re late every day.

Very friendly staff. Nice place to work!

Tried to call the garage manager but reached dispatched instead to report some serious violations only to be told to Call mvta issue with 4851 driving these bus should have seatbelts cause some of these drivers don’t have proper training
