    Dispatch is from India and reading off prompts on the screen during a recent ice storm I told them shipper was not taking anymore loads today because off short staff and would not open until noon the next day by appt. only so they needed to reschedule I was then asked if I would be on time for my 8 am delivery the next day as Archie would say she is a dingbat

    Don't work for them unless you're in a jam. Arnold has changed ownership again and this time it's gone to people who don't know how to run trucking companies. They are just as bad as when the owners kids took over and changed things. If you like micromanagement, inconsistent miles, calls/texts during all hours of night and day, your number being given out, cell phone tracking, being ignored, no detention, no layover, being told to do illegal things, dispatchers that lie to you constantly, hometime not being honored, and sitting around. Drivers leave daily because of these problems and get told that they need to get used to it instead of fixing them. They don't have drivers backs anymore. They will push you to drive under dangerous conditions or fatigued and if something happens its your fault. This includes accidents like brake failure or the wind blowing you over.

    I was on the local IP Sealy Tx...The hourly wages on the account are too low and they are getting over drivers because time n half starts after 60 hours...You will spend majority of your life at work 60hrs a week n some Saturdays...Very miserable place to work.... the only thing I liked was being home everyday

    Trucks are trash. No refrigerators. They don't inform you of that til you're hired. Reefer division is ran by ppl from Canada that's from India. So there's a language and culture barrier. They run you like a slave. They don't honor nothing they promise you except the miles you run and per diem. It's been 2 weeks still haven't been paid none of my detention money or layover money. Don't believe any positive reviews on google, indeed, or social media. They give you gift cards at orientation to leave positive reviews. I refused to cause y give a positive review if I haven't started working yet. So most of the positive reviews are paid for which is misleading to ppl looking for a respectable company. That was red flag 1. If you're doing right by your employees y should you feel the need to bribe a positive review from them. I'm pre sure the dry van department is better with their drivers I hope, but that reefer division, don't do it. They micro manage the #### out of you like you're fresh out of school. They drop the ball on loads more then a little bit and try to switch the blame on you if you don't speak up for yourself. They don't pay attention to drive time. All the loads are brokered so they're all over the place. I snapped on a DM for calling my phone 3am two days straight to ask my eta. I'm trying to sleep on my 10 hr break so I won't be fatigued and you're calling me about something you should already know. They don't communicate with each other. Four ppl will call you throughout the day to ask you the same question. Oh yea they expect you to drive the whole 11 hours each day if you let em. If you're thirsty for cash and don't mind putting your health and CDL on the line then this the company for you. I'm looking for my out as I type.

    Their equipment is not kept in good repair. I've worked at Arnold for 3 months and been in the shop at least once a week. They have a hard time finding me loads and often times I'm waiting a minimum of 24 hours for a dispatch. They outsource all aspects of driver communication to a company who clearly doesn't care about the drivers and are there to just push buttons. They have poor maintenance on their trucks, they have a five minute idle shut off no matter the weather, and they charged me to go home

    Arnold Transportation use to be a decent company to work for. Now the office personnel are probably the most ignorant .I truly believe that they hire employees that have no knowledge of dispatching or planning. They have lost so many large accounts. The drivers are pulling there weight. They really need to get experience office personnel. They are running the company into bankruptcy. Would not recommend working with Arnold unless they get personnel in the office with knowledge of the trucking industry.

    Way too many Unpaid Loading / Unloading Delays. (Average 8hrs per load.) Pay per mile increase puts their rate on par with industry, but have to fight just to average 2500 miles a week, & they pay Old Rand McNally Miles. Detention paid after two hrs past appointment, but rate is only $15phr, & occur Almost Every Load! Full day layovers Only $100, & Perfect Stage 2 DOT inspections only $100. Dispatch Very Inefficient with Extremely Poor Communication. People Net Cell based ELD. If your Lazy you'll like it I Guess, but if your a hard runner looking to run efficiently & go home it's Maddening! I've had One Foot out the door Since I Started, & Regularly Have to threaten to Quit just to maintain 3000 paid miles average a week. Don't plan on staying very much longer, as it's a driver's market, & not worth being stuck babysitting a truck for two weeks for less than $80k per year.
