Orientation was very unorganized the orientation manager QUIT right along with Operational Manager big RED FLAG , they hold your check for 2 weeks and don't let you know anything about it please pay attention when reading and verification on pay ! They also Have you as a company driver paying ESCROW which is supposed to be lease purchase only …communication suck bad from dispatcher and up the ladder, the Shop doesn't care if equipment work properly or not, they treat you ######, they lose your hair samples etc and will have you waiting with NO PAY until results come in and will also have you staying in a ran down hotel which has mold etc in multiple room. If you decide to come and stay AVOID getting TONY as a dispatcher, his communication with drivers is horrible, he book you impossible load (###### LOADS) , they don't pre plan your load, they throw them on you randomly, so be prepared for #######. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE YOUR LAST OPTION…"RUN FROM THE BIG DOG"!! It's not worth your stress I promise you it isn't

I wonder why they really don't tell you on the phone before you come to orientation that the first 2 weeks you run there going to hold or should I say keep 2 weeks of your hard earned money of every one knew to help them pay for there equipment and insurance and the next 2 weeks of working they cut you a check for one week anyway that's theft illegal and if you ask a question expect a lie from all of them and they will always be busy while you make them that money and that's the only time you will really have contact with them and they all read the same script after talking to any of them they will all start to sound a like they have many secrets in order to profit the trucks have to pay for them selfs so money from each driver allows them to pay the note on the truck and fuel and what ever else they save there money or are buying hotels and relastate a a huge house and most of there customers don't have rest rooms staff say as less as possible zero communication lies all of the time because it's just business they don't care if you don't have food they are just using you they don't care about you at all.

I was supposed to be out for 2 weeks at a time. That turned into a month at a time. Never saw my family. Their night dispatcher got me stuck in Newark NJ for 3 days over the weekend burning the oil the day of Christmas Eve. Absolutely no home time.

I know these reviews are old, but there are always drivers reading them, so, here are some takes on trucking/companies/Big-G. New drivers/others, never let a company think you need them-quite the opposite. Furthermore, its the companies job to get road service and resolve freight issues. The driver who went through all this in their review.... over the years I have had probably 50 loads that were already picked up when I arrived. Brokers will find someone cheaper to haul them and never inform the original carrier-happens everyday. Brokers are some of the biggest crooks in the industry. You need to be paid for layovers and sitting-that is not free time. Always keep the back door open-meaning always have another job in mind so you can go to it the next day. Never take lip off a dispatcher/safety manager, there are too many companies looking for drivers. They always say "we are all family here". Don't believe that for a second. You are only useful as long as they make money off you and if any issue happens-your history. They say " we give you 30 days probation" and you tell them back "I give you 2 weeks and if your no good I'm getting rid of you". Don't trust any company. I personally NEVER work for percentage as I don't like dead-heading for free no matter what percentage pays. When you work percentage, its the brokers who are telling you what your going to work for. Companies too often scam on confirmations pay-sheets. Think of a company as a place to make money, do a job, get paid, then go home and give them no thanks and no smiles because they never appreciate you no matte how many company barbecues or praise they might give. Make sure you ask all the questions before going to orientation. If they don't pay travel expense-forget them. If they have an orientation over 1.5 days you know they are going to have a lot of red-tape attached to company rules and regulations and its just the beginning of micromanagement. Beware of 1099 companies who don't tell you of the up-to $3,000 escrows and fines for log mistakes and blowout tires etc. Yes, up to $1,000 fines for out of service and $700 for forgetting to sign a log. These reviews about Big -G should tell any driver they are no good and should not waste there time on them. There are few good companies to day and its more of searching for a company you can put up with. Big-G sounds like a bottom-feeder as most all companies are today. There used to be a 'move up' from a company like Big-G, but research finds top companies from years gone by have now sunk to the bottom and your only moving from on bottom-feeder to another bottom-feeder. OTR drivers do not do local work-at least I don't. Trucking is not as good as it used to be if you have started driving after 2000. The best days of trucking are gone. Trucks better today-NO, just more electronics to shut trucks down and waiting on small parts. Truck stops better-No, just more expensive and not offering the free things of years ago like free showers and free coffee. Those who say we get points...in the past you only needed 25 gallons to get a free shower and could get a shower ticket from other drivers without a problem. Truckers were given priority over the general public in the stops and restaurants. Another thing is the disappearance of small independent stops with real restaurants. Nothing is really better, more roads and more traffic. More regulations and red-tape. More people out here driving a truck-but not real truckers. Not much consideration and few 'old-school' values. Not much physical/appearance distinction between a beach-bum and a driver. Driving is much more difficult today and there is almost no fun in it. Lastly-where have all the CB radios gone? Does anyone out here speak English?

In a few words i will just tell you to stay away from this place, one has to be desperate to work here, these people are stuck in the 1800s with their treatment and hiring practices, some day someones going to sue the #### outta these people, they already had to put locks on all the employees entrance and exit doors during the day when they work because of the way they treat people and will abandon them their without any way to get home period, and will cop an attitude about it toward the poor employee recruit. they do to people what they would not tolerate to be done to them, no wonder drivers abandon the trucks all over the country, this company deserves what they dish out, beware if the bs sounds too good then it is this is why they own their own motel and put through better than 100 a month, like cattle.

Worst company to go to. They tell you all the great things to get you in. When it all comes down to it it is nothing but lies.. I have never seen a company that lies to employees as much as they do. Their drivers are not important but the office staff is.. They seem to forget no driver no office staff needed.
