My experience with Guardian Express whether labeled a "company driver" or an "independent contractor" was defined by underpayment, harassment, and unrealistic 24/7 availability expectations. As an "independent contractor" (which, in practice, felt no different than being a company driver), guaranteed pay was referenced but later denied using vague language such as "availability," even when all confirmed loads were completed. Drivers are expected to be on call at all times for last-minute changes, with no bonus, incentive, or appreciation for that level of access to your time. The communication style regularly crossed into harassment. I experienced excessive back-to-back phone calls sometimes 20 to 30+ calls in a row as well as alarms being triggered on the tablet while I was sleeping, along with pressure tactics if calls were not answered immediately. There was little to no respect for rest, boundaries, or work-life balance. Guardian Express also blurs the line between company driver and independent contractor in a way that benefits the company while shifting risk entirely onto the driver. This treatment was consistent across company drivers, lease operators, and owner-operators. Drivers are overworked and underpaid, and favoritism is very real. Additionally, drivers referred to work under GPG Trucking aka Mr. Greg should be extremely cautious. In my experience, pay was frequently nickel-and-dimed, and compensation was withheld or delayed while pressure was applied to agree to revised pay terms. Nothing should ever be assumed get every single pay term in writing before running. My advice to drivers: do not walk -run from this company. Based on my experience, I would not work with Guardian Express ever again and strongly advise drivers to protect themselves with clear written agreements

I'm currently employed for guardian express,all my years never worked for a family oriented company. They are excellent family time,pay equipment all in respected order.they really do care about drivers.here your not only a driver you are treated as family deeply as a driver I recommend them you will be family.

Ive been here over 3yrs now and ive seen nothing short of amazing from the top to the bottom with this company. They take care of their equipment and their drivers. They work hard to keep you moving. Getting home is easy and your hometime is just as important to them as it is you. They run legal and dont try to force you to drive when your sick or tired. Been on these roads for 17 years and this has been my best experience by far. You want a company to call home,this is it
