Knight Transportation

I often leave reviews on bad trucking companies.To let new/old drivers know who to avoid.Been trucking 20yrs and can tell you about who's really bad.Today I just decided to look up knights.I think I was there four to seven months.I had none of the problems these one star people are talking about.From day one after orientation new truck,all of my dispatchers/managers were polite and very professional.Probably because I presented myself to them the same way.You get what you give.The one thing I've noticed over the years.Is how rude,mean,inconsiderate and disrespectful this NEW age of drivers have become.The only reason I left was because they had enough drivers in the area I wanted to run.Up until they day I left.I was always ONTIME.I ALWAYS made money.I would take some of these one star reviews,with a grain of skepticism.Knight isn't even in the top 5 of the worst companies I've driven for.

I've been hear three months now, it's been a bit rocky. Good miles for the most part. Truck maintenance is pretty bad, I'm on my second truck now. First truck went in the shop every week for the first three weeks (still not fixed) Second truck "thrid day" in the shop. From the looks of things it's a band-aid it and keep it running until total failure kind of shop. Dispatch is okay but disorganized, and will feed you a line of b.s. to keep you going. If it wasn't for the truck maintenance issue I could put up with the rest. You just got roll with the punches here. I really wish I could stay with this company but it's disorganized at least here in Atlanta. I've been on the road to long to put up with poor truck maintenance. 12 year driver. I've been having to fix or work around most truck issues to keep moving legally. If someone from corporate sees this you really need to look into the shop in Atlanta. I know freight is slow right now but come on a driver shouldn't have to worry if there truck will make it or if it will pass dot check.

The shop service has greatly improved. I credit Manager Cliff McNabb and mechanics for the speed and efficiency of his operation. My truck had many issues and they got it done in 2 days. The comfort and temperature in the driver's lounge is also vastly improved.
