Zach will fire you at the drop of a hat. Ineeded an extra day home for a mobile repair on my RV. He was getting a part in on 5th day home. Zach said leave now or be fired. Cleaned the truck out. Lol, then he hired me back 1 1/2 years later and didn't recall why he fired me. So, I take a medical leave, get 12 weeks, i took 10. Drive back to Rockford in my own vehicle, loaded down. $11 left to my name (STD insurance lost 2 disability checks in the mail, they don't use direct deposit). Got my assigned truck loaded, parked my pickup. Then the young punk in safety saw me putting blocks in my steps to aid in the climbing in and out (medical leave was for bi-lateral knee replacement). Days it wasn't safe, so they decided not to reseat me in a truck. Told him I drove 700 miles on my own money and no money to get home. Not their problem. Luckily the lost checks came in the msil and had a family member go to the box, get them out and make a deposit so i could get home. Meiborg was a family catering person at one time. Now they advertise they are looking for O/O and lease purchase drivers. ***I suspect this is why they really didn't want to reseat me in a truck. They were done with this company driver taking up the only truck they had open and no truck for the incoming lease purchase driver. I did contact a lawyer. Still waiting to see what he thinks about it. When they were good, they were great. Then they started getting more into Warehousing and Logistics. Less caring about the drivers that got them to that point. Now they advertise to their warehousing and Logistics customers that they have 200+ trucks etc.....I never saw more than 60 trucks on our weekly mog report. I believe they stretching the truth a bit.

Owner used to force me to do resets away from home, then expect me to keep running for their benefit. Couldn't stand the young teenager looking guy named Austin that did nothing but lie. Their equipment was nice, but I don't want to live in their trucks every day of the week.

Equipment is decent. Trailers are in very great shape. Communication with dispatchers needs improvement. Forcing drivers to run off of recaps when the drivers are tired is a problem. Poor communication between dispatchers and drivers. They don't practice what they preach with communication. Home time is good.

Family company, drivers appreciated! Loads are pretty basic. Many are drop and hook. Haven't had many Live loads/unload that involve detention. But you are paid a salary, so your pay isn't affected no matter how long you wait anywhere. It's always great feeling to know your pay is always the same, no matter what, and it's great pay too. 100k year, out 5 weeks, home 4 days/ nights.

Great pay and fast trucks, the "dispatchers" don't actually pick your loads, only one guy does for the entire fleet (200+ trucks), hardly any of them know how HOS works or the other basic laws like weight limits and the ones who do will push you hard and don't care about whether or not you find a safe or legal place to park, miscommunication is everywhere even though everyone is within a 30 sec walk from everyone else, shop included, they operate in the gray area of HOS with the going off duty anytime your not driving, like PC'ing around at customers which I personally don't think a DOT officer would accept, they don't micromanage you when it comes to fueling or what routes you take but again they expect you to get as close as possible to the customer, in orientation they will tell you one thing but afterwards you find out after a month or so its not true, force dispatch, no touch freight and being able to stop wherever you want as long as you make your delivery on time, none of which turned out to be true which may be because the CEO (who is a great guy and actually does care and think like a driver) moved down to Texas, also their ELD system, Geotab, is not the most reliable system, their terminal is really nice and do truly have an open door policy but they are moving the staff to a different building that doesn't have a lot of room to park a truck so that open door may end up being pointless, they are starting to "encourage" drivers to not idle unless its above 75 degrees, if you idle too much they will find someone else, showing you the door, also they will turn a blind eye and in some cases encourage you to lie to brokers, which you will deal with a lot, and if your overweight they have no problem with you running it as long as you don't get caught

    TruckersReport Review

Meiborg tries forcing drivers to run recap (work 21 days straight/no day off basically), they do their best to avoid 34 hour resets (more revenue for the company), tries to force drivers to log off-duty at shippers/receivers to stop the 70 hour clock for the week (therefore extending your 70 and making you work more than 70 hours weekly), minimum 21 days on the road/4 nights home, constant non stop freight, no benefits until 90 days (if it weren't for the 90 day policy I would've signed up for health insurance/short term disability immediately), dispatch/safety didn't have anything to say when I schooled them on FMCSA on-duty rules/regulations because they knew they were in the wrong, if you need to go home for medical reasons they'll dock salary pay, trucks are governed at 67mph, trucks have mitigation collision alarms, they track your every move, trucks have APUs but they never fixed mine, automatic trucks, very poor communication. I was diagnosed with Plasmablastic Lymphoma cancer March 12th, and they requested I sign a form for voluntary resignation because they weren't granting any medical leave of absence so I could do my treatment/chemotherapy starting in April. Meiborg offers medical leave of absence unpaid to those who wish not to resign, but I wasn't given the option. I will never return...I'd rather take my 10 years of trucking experience and work for someone that knows what they're doing and has respect for those that bring in the revenue (the drivers).
