Terrible division of Celadon which is really no better. Since the scandal and the owner bailed out, it's all about the money. Sell your stock and take the loss. Osborn advertises home daily dedicated runs but expect overnights in truckstops. You have run to illegal to get home and then Celadon logs dept is blowing up your phone the next morning because they leave at 5 pm as well. It's not a big deal until they show up the next day and do their job (gasp). Good luck luck getting ahold of anyone after 5. They are a major automotive carrier and will not stand up to schedule changes by the customer for fear of losing the account, but they still go home the same time every day and you get stuck with the change. Trucks are junk Celadon rejects when Celadon drivers get new ones. Little to nothing is done to keep them dot legal and even less for the driver. A/C not working ? Still drivable so shut up and drive. Heat? ...same answer. Tires? Who cares. In short. Typical bottom feeder and sticks the driver in the rump for eveything they don't do, including pay. See an error on your pay ? ......ahh we will take of it next week........or next month. When quitting time comes in the office, no one gives a damn about if you get paid correctly and you can expect a week long wait for the return unless you "want it put on your card, that's all we can do until the next pay cycle." Dedicated route daily pay is 1/3 less than any of the competition and includes more working hours, very possible onernights in truckstops without layover, and 0 pay for days off that are determined by the customer. Unless you have enough time for vacation and want to use it on a predetermined schedule not set by you, you get 0 pay even if you are ready and willing to work. I spent 2 years with this stink hole trying to make it work. As it turned out, I went back to a regular job with the customer I delivered to making more for less, have 90/10 insurance at 0 cost to me, a set working schedule, and... get overtime after 8 if I choose to accept it, holidays, vacation, .....the normal things we all like to get for our effort, .........and I still drive a truck. Your pay versus hours worked with Osborn will equal roughly 10 dollars an hour and you can expect schedule changes every 3 months so it's only dedicated if you are. Don't like it ? Quit, who cares if you are good driver or you suck. Just like most every other trucking outfit, they have a stack of apps on the office desk that will keep that seat warm if you don't. It may sound as if I'm bitter, but I'm not. I'm simply stating my experience with this company and others exactly like it (the majority of them). It served a purpose at the time. I moved on to a better deal and used them as a stepping stone to get there. Ifthat's what you intend, save yourself some time and grief. You might as well stay on the road and triple your pay while looking for what you want. The glowing reviews must be from some ham fisted radio rambo that's content with what he doesn't have.
