Look at Cons...would never consider employment with this company. After going thru their week of testing and then getting hired...took off on the road ...then terminated for something that had been explained on the application. Then left 1500 miles from home....

Terrible company, equipment is not well maintained repairs are slow. I was frequently pressured to commit safety violations. Pay would have been decent for a new driver IF they maintained their equipment well enough, but because they didnt my pay is erratic.

They tell you anything to get you hired you supposed to do 170 hours I only did 90 and don't go to Pennsylvania terminal for repairs on your truck I almost got killed for poor maintenance but thank God

If you have any other options don't go to Western Express. Everyone walks around with a chip on their shoulder and has an attitude. I went their for orientation and I lasted a week. Western will get you a shared room at the Red Roof Inn Motel. This has to be the dirtiest, most filthy place I have ever seen. Meals consisted of an $8 Subway gift card for dinner. Breakfast was a bottle of water, an apple, and a muffin. Lunch was a kid's size bag of chips a can of soda and a sandwich which was basically bread and mayo. I learned absolutely nothing. My trainer slept while I drove, he gave me no advice or instruction. I drove 11 hours one day and no less than 10.5 hours the other days just to make $71.43 dollars each day. The trainer decided to go home which nearly left me stranded because Western didn't want to put me in a hotel nor get me home. They said if you go home that's on you. I said no the trainer is going home what am I supposed to do. The response was "that's on you". After some arguing the trainer got me close to home with Western getting me an Uber home the rest of the way. Keep in mind the trainer's home was just 10 miles away from my home yet he refused to drop me. Also, during the time you are on the truck all food and expenses, showers, etc are on you and whatever pay you receive the first week is held back a week so that is not going to help. If you have anywhere else to go don't go to Western. They demonstrate everyday what they think of their people. I guess because it is a second chance company they feel you have no choice but to accept it. However, I didn't need a second chance so I moved on and never went back.

This trucking company is one of thee worst truck company to deal with, they are completely unprofessional, they put you in disgusting hotels, no communication, they don’t answer the phone. Been trying to get a truck for the longest all they do is give you the run around. As of now I’ve called several times, my truck needs a battery & I get no help. They had me drive 3 times back and fourth to Richmond I already live 3 hrs away and nothing has been done about my truck til this day. So fed up with this company it’s terrible & sad that a company can and do operate this way. No one has called me back get me in my truck or nothing . I’m ready to work and all they do is play around. They don’t care about there drivers at all.changes must be done about this company.

Is Richmond terminal, they're doing some improvement on it, have to say the yard has an angle shape and more down you go, hard to park
