    Proud to have left Paper Transport - and even prouder of what I learned about my own worth. After 11 years of safe, professional OTR experience, I gave Paper Transport a second chance. What I got in return was a masterclass in exactly how a company should NEVER treat its drivers: • Rookie-level pay (barely $1,000 a week) for a veteran driver • Dispatch and driver managers who curse at, belittle, and talk down to the very people keeping their freight moving • Zero respect for family time - they treat home time like a favor instead of a right • An overall culture that views drivers as disposable slaves rather than the skilled professionals we are I had to raise my voice just to be heard. No driver should ever have to fight the people who are supposed to have their back. Walking away the second time was one of the most empowering decisions of my career. The moment I left, better-paying, driver-first companies started calling. Turns out the industry is full of carriers that actually value experience, pay top-tier mileage, and treat you like family - not freight. If you're reading this and feeling stuck: You are worth so much more than this place will ever pay or respect. There are companies that celebrate 11+ years of clean driving instead of exploiting it. I found mine within a week of leaving PTI. To every driver still there - you've got options, you've got power, and you've got the experience companies are begging for right now. Demand respect. Demand real money. Demand a company that sees you as the hero of the supply chain (because you are). I didn't just quit Paper Transport. I leveled up. You can too. ★ Five stars for teaching me exactly what I will NEVER settle for again. ★

    Lucky to get 1800 miles a week, cheap trucks, old trailers, no dwell pay, no true empathy for drivers, misled from recruiter, nothing new about that, low miles equals low pay per week but gone 5.5 days. Not great company

    The worse company that I have ever worked for out of over forty years of driving. Straight up lie about everything to get you to come on board. Equipment is junk, new startup on a contract and trucks are well overdue for maintance and repairs, half of them being put out of service for safety issues. When you call the higher up management they are in meetings or just not available straight to voice mail and no return response, not even a text message. They hound you on the cameras over every little issue no matter how small. They think they are God and will not hear or try to reason fire you on the spot. Steer clear of this company it's not worth your time the worst, big mistake to contact them, the worst ...

    If you want to end your driving career, work for PTI. Horrible culture. Work you to death then throw you out. Don't take a medical leave. When you come back you will be put under a microscope with camera's and then not only will you be fired, they will make sure you never drive again. 42+ years of excellent driving destroyed by this company.

    These people are insane. I was literally assaulted during my orientation by the guy running it. They are totally and completely crazy, they are very small town people. Don't work for them they are horrible people. This might be a cult this company is a joke.

    I've been with PTI for 4 years. They are a good company to work for. Everyone is helpful, friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The shop guy in Jax is a bit of a curmudgeon, but thankfully I don't have to deal with him too often. He is not an employee of PTI, but equipment services. PTI has excellent pay especially for new drivers (60 cpm) but unfortunately that's also the pay for experienced drivers as well. They're dedicated runs, so you stay in one region and go to the same places over and over again. I suppose there are drivers out there that may think that's great but I personally prefer to "run wild" and drive all over the country. The same 'ol same 'ol gets to be a bit monotonous. I've requested OTR several times but all I hear in response is crickets. They stack your loads out by the week giving you very little time to even use the restroom, let alone shower or eat. And when you run out of time it's generally in the middle of nowhere with slim pickings for even finding a place to safely park. So I highly recommend purchasing a refrigerator and microwave and keeping it stocked or you won't be eating anything unless you want to spend your salary on delivery, but most places you go delivery isn't and option. Home time is supposed to be out 12 days home 2. Usually I go home on fridays (so 14 days out) then they schedule me to come back on Monday morning (so 3 days off), and occasionally on Sundays. There is guaranteed pay, which is nice if your truck is in the shop for 3+ days you'll still get $1100. There is a caveat to the guaranteed pay though, if you take a day off for an appointment there's no guaranteed pay that week, and they may choose to keep you home all week (no check that week, but insurance premiums are still due!). Also, there's no guaranteed pay on weeks that have a holiday, but if you work on the holiday you can get holiday pay. They are very family oriented and if you have family issues come up they will get you home and let you stay home until your crisis is averted. The driver managers are friendly and helpful. They give out a lot of bonuses based on fuel, safety, administration (turning in your paperwork) etc. and most of the time when you stop by the office to turn in paperwork you're greeted with a smile, & by name. A lot of times they'll give you little surprise gifts such as a branded hat, tshirt etc. after 1 year you get a really nice jacket. If you attend safety meetings you get paid ($30) for your time. There is also a company vehicle that you can use (minivan) if you're at the terminal and want to run to the market or whatever. You get a rental car to orientation (no bus!) Pets are allowed (cats / dogs) no deposit. Passengers allowed after 6 months safe driving, each time you have to fill out a form and have it signed off & provide a copy of the passenger's id & have them sign a waiver. Overall it is a really good company. There are a few things I would change if I had the power, but it's one of the better ones I have worked for big or small. I definitely would (& have) recommend this company to other drivers.

    I drove PTI for almost 2 years, I asked if possible to move to Va to be near family. They said yes, great, no so much, once moved, I was forced to stay out two weeks at a time, never got home on time, I was run out of my 70 over and over again. Then when home they refused to communicate with me, they switched my driver manager who never reached out to me. The operations manager blocked my email and refused to return calls. I finally called HR , they told me that I had resigned according to the old driver manager, news to me. I took a gamble moving only because PTI had been good to me for 2 years. They never once called me and left the truck up for almost 3 weeks. I miss PTI, there were a good company but there is a disease growing within the company of abuse toward drivers.
