Good school to get your cdl. But that's where it ends. I was told during my recruiting that it would be no longer than 5 days before i went out with a otr trainer. Not the case, it was a month before they found me someone. And they had me spotting trailers around for a local company for 13 hours a day for $112 per day. You do the math.... they lie to you about things during school. I was also informed by mt fleet manager that 2-5 new students leave before completing their otr training. Go somewhere else and save yourself my headache and a $7,000 bill. I jumped ship and went to another company who pays .23 cents more per mile. And much better equipment. Best thing ive done so far as a new driver. Roehl is a cdl school, and only should be treated as such.

Got my CDL here. The actual training is good, it was for me anyway. Flatbed fleet. My instructor that got me ready for my CDL test was great, over the road trainer was an awesome guy. Coordination is lacking in some areas outside of training. I sat at home for almost 3 weeks after passing the CDL test which doesn't sound bad but it destroyed my financial planning I had laid out because you don't get paid for that. Some people get to go right into otr training after the test but there is sometimes a shortage of trainers. I'm just conveying the message that you need to be ready for hiccups. You get paid for training but if you're like me you really don't need a three week break in income. I didn't know it would be like that until it happened or I would have found something to do for that time. Good training and experience but be prepared.
