Firstly, I was advertised $1200-1300 a week. What I actually saw in my bank account was $400-500 a week. They paid a % of their price, and the big ol' customer right next to my terminal paid the cheapest of the cheap shipping prices. My paycheck was determined by an outside salesman just trying to make a sale. I understand his job but I can't live on those numbers. Other guys at other terminals did great. The 3 of us at my terminal never saw over $700 in one week. Equipment was junk. I don't know why. 5 year old or less kenworth trucks, all of them with check engine lights. Bad air leaks everywhere. Regen problems all over the place. The shop honestly tried their best. I don't know why everything was breaking. Management and dispatch was fantastic. They were intelligent, friendly, and always had the time to answer questions and talk about any subject. I honestly felt bad quitting with no notice when another company called offering $35 an hour. I hope they're doing OK, and I hope the pay at my old terminal doubled.
