One of the dispatchers from this company and I had one of those days. We were working on a load that had already become more complicated than it should have been. There were delays, phone calls every few minutes, and pressure from all sides. During one conversation, the dispatcher completely lost his temper. He spoke to me in a way I didn't appreciate, and to be honest, I didn't hold back either. We both raised our voices, we exchanged a few words neither of us should have said, and the conversation ended badly. At one point he told me, "I'm never booking another load with you again." My response wasn't much better. I told him I'd make sure our company wouldn't use his carrier anymore either. The load itself was completed, but I walked away thinking that was the end of our business relationship. The surprising part happened the next morning. Instead of calling to book another load or pretend nothing had happened, he called simply to talk. We stayed on the phone for almost an hour. The first thing he did was apologize. Not one of those quick apologies people give just to move on, but a genuine one. He admitted that his behavior was unacceptable and told me he had let the pressure of the job get the better of him. He said, "That's not who I am. I know I handled that completely wrong." I've known him professionally for years, and hearing that honestly wasn't surprising. In fact, it was the opposite. I remember thinking that everyone who knew him would probably be shocked if they had heard that conversation because losing his temper wasn't his reputation at all. He's actually one of the strongest dispatchers on their team organized, reliable, and usually one of the calmest people I deal with. We talked openly about the stress in this business, the long hours, and how easy it is to carry frustration from one problem into the next if you're not careful. There were no excuses. He took responsibility for his part, and I admitted that I could have handled my side of the conversation better too. That phone call completely changed my perspective. Anyone can get along when everything is going smoothly. What really tells you about someone's character is what they do after they've made a mistake. Since that day, we've worked together on many more shipments, and I can honestly say our relationship became stronger because of what happened, not weaker. We communicate better than we did before, and there's a level of mutual respect that wasn't there in the beginning. Over the years, our relationship has gone beyond simply moving freight. We congratulate each other on birthdays, exchange holiday wishes, and check in from time to time even when there's no business to discuss. It's not just another broker-dispatcher relationship anymore it's a genuine professional friendship built on honesty and mutual respect.

One thing that stood out to me about this dispatch company happened before we even booked a load.I had a shipment that paid well on paper, but the timing was incredibly tight. I honestly expected them to accept it because many dispatchers do, hoping everything somehow works out.Instead, they asked several detailed questions about pickup times, previous delays at the shipper, and delivery expectations. After reviewing everything, they politely declined the load because they didn't believe they could meet the appointment without putting unnecessary pressure on the driver. At first, I was frustrated because I needed coverage quickly. A few days later I found out another carrier accepted the shipment and missed delivery by almost an entire day.Looking back, I respected their decision a lot more than if they had simply told me what I wanted to hear. We've worked together on many shipments since then, and I've learned they don't chase every dollar. If they commit to a load, it's because they believe they can execute it properly. That level of honesty is refreshing.

As a broker, I speak with dozens of carriers every day, and not every first conversation leads to a booked load. My first interaction with Sikora Express LLC was actually on a shipment that we couldn't award to them due to timing and rate constraints on our side. Even though they didn't get the load, Ricky remained professional, courteous, and never pressured us. He simply said he looked forward to another opportunity. That attitude made a lasting impression. We stayed in touch, and since then we've worked together on multiple shipments. Communication has always been excellent, updates are consistent, and their team handles every load with professionalism. It's refreshing to work with a carrier that values building relationships instead of focusing on just one transaction. Because of that first interaction, Sikora Express has become one of the carriers I regularly reach out to. I appreciate Ricky's reliability and the team's commitment to great service, and I look forward to continuing our partnership for many more loads.

As a broker, I work with a lot of carriers, and Matt from Sikora Transport was excellent to work with. He handled a load from California to New Jersey professionally from start to finish. Communication was consistent, and the driver kept us updated throughout the trip, making the entire process smooth and stress free. Everything was delivered on time, and the service exceeded expectations. I look forward to working with Matt and the Sikora team again.
