I’ve been a driver here for a couple of months now and I think that this company is one of the better ones. My truck is new (2021, had less than 10k miles) and has EZ pass, SunPass, K-tag, and Prepass. I’m a new hazmat driver and was a little anxious about doing it but the dispatcher is very helpful with answering any questions about the loads and helping with placards if I need it. Maintenance is great and the fleet manager is available and responds quickly to truck issues. Payroll is awesome and I haven’t had any issues with my paycheck or getting paid on time every Friday. Any reimbursements are always there, miles are always correct. Things to consider before joining: Company does not pay for the first 50 empty miles on each load. They do cover your worker’s comp insurance though. So it’s kind of a tradeoff. In order to use PC you have to text a photo of a receipt from a purchase you made at your destination. ETA Nov 2021: Changes have been made, and we now get paid for all empty miles. ETA Oct 2022: I am no longer with Silvicom because I no longer wish to drive OTR. From beginning to end though the experience was good, and this company will be my first choice if I ever decide to drive OTR again.

Good Company and You get the Miles.

This is as good as it gets for OTR trucking. Very reasonable home time. Real good equipment. Top pay. Primarily hazmat which is good. Most shippers / receivers are happy to see you! As long as you can identify problems as they arise and communicate it with the company like a flat tire, bald tire or a cracked windshield, you are all set. The 5 years I have been driving for Silvicom are the best of my life as an OTR driver. Thank you Silvicom!
