    I worked there 3 months. Pay sucked. Equipment ok. Took hometime twice and they missed requested dates both times. They will get you miles if your willing to keep it moving. Just don't expect to be treated well and you'll have no problems. I put in my first 3 months of trucking there for experience and moved on... best thing you can do. Don't worry about loyalty as it disappears after the first month.

    TransAM by far the worst company I've ever driven for. Poor communication, micromanaged, underpaid, no miles. Will play in your face about your home time and laugh at your sickness with an I don't care attitude had the audacity to terminate me while on home time for 3 days on Thanksgiving. They asked me to pick up a load in PA and I'm on home time in the south. I told Fleet I couldn't do it. I was hung up on returning to Dispatch. I was lied to saying the truck is due for maintenance only to have the truck shut off by computer soon as I reach the yard then I was called to the office and fired with no explanation I had to find my own way home. They are sneaky lying crooks.

    I've been with TransAm for over 3 years. I started on the company position to get my feet wet and feel out the people and the company. They have treated me well and made good money during my time. I stay out for a month at a time, but it works for me.

    Many companies today have become very polite and they will text you before they call you since we have odd hours. But fatigue is one of the major causes of accidents… it's essential that we get rest, but you don't get that at Trans Am it's not just that they don't pay you.. that you have to watch every check… every payday… to at least try to get them to pay you for your miles… they rip you off with bad leases they lie to you It's not very pleasant….. but they call you during your 10 hour DOT break and think nothing of waking you up

    If you need a "refresher course" this ain't it. They'll put you on a "trainer/mentor" truck for three weeks, you'll be refreshing yourself while your trainer or mentor is sleeping or on the phone. If anything happens like a minor preventable in a truck stop, you'll be to blame and they'll even tell you your position is still secure till you finish the EOD program. Then they'll tell you to kick rocks and pay for your ride to the bus stop or airport but that's it. Oh, and they won't tell you they're a mandatory recap company till your mentor vindictively tries to make you drive after telling you it's okay to take a 34 hr reset even if you haven't gotten sleep cause you know, you were supposed to be on a 34! Then they'll call you with an attitude to tell you it's not allowed and act like you're the problem. Not the mentor who clearly doesn't know the company they work for or their rules and standards. Weirdos.

    Ignorant racism from the start of orientation. Started with the blacks and whites and then carried onward everyone mistreating a perceived minority. Nice trucks but most end up in the shop. They manipulate company policies and treat you like a contractor not an employee, don't sign the contract. You aren't an employee there Pay wasn't good and healthcare choice didn't cover anything

    I hope this company goes away. I started trucking with this company and all they did was treat me like a piece of buffalo chips. Screw the Jacobsen family, enjoy your Bahama home. I hope a hurricane destroys your life.

    Brenda the dispatcher should be fired equipment is bad pay is horrible least purchases is a scam of course orientation is rushed they treat sha like he is some god and he is scared to go home to Baltimore you'll stay out six weeks at a time and still only bring home 3500 for the month western express and trans scam are basically the same

    Been here for 10 months. There are issues. You will recap constantly, flux up and down on pay, get relayed off or pushed to take relay. It is a second chance company. Deal with it. Do your job, communicate well, and you will do okay for the purpose of being here. To survive until you can do better. Don't buy into the lease purchase. Just like all the others, it is a scam. I can tell you first hand, most of the people crying are people you wouldn't want working for you either.
